TENT POLAR

Expedition and polar tent with external poles.
  • The POLAR tent is primarily designed for extraordinary loads, everyday packing and setting up and for weather conditions in inhospitable areas, and its concept also remembers the function of a reliable shelter in dry and safe conditions even during normal overnight stays in nature.
  • The advantage of tents with an external poles is quick construction and immediate building of a dry environment in the inner tent, which does not have the opportunity to get wet during set up.
  • The relatively large distance between the inner and outer tents creates a large cubic capacity of condensation space for water vapor emanating from human bodies and wet equipment, and significantly affects the humidity management of the tent.
  • The very breathable material of the inner tent and the system of ventilation mesh holes connected to the closable vents in the outer tent also contribute to the removal of water vapour.
  • Water from weather sources (rain, fog, dew, snow) remains on the outer tent with a silicone water-repellent treatment.
  • The strength of the tent is given by the proven shape of the self-supporting dome supported by six duralumin poles.
  • At the crossing of all poles there are clamping and anchoring elements for use in strong winds.
  • In case of anchoring, the tent is equipped with a sufficient number of light and strong pegs
  • The entrance to the tent is protected by a closable vestibule, also ready to store shoes and equipment that can be stored outside the interior of the tent.
  • The lower entrance to the tent is subject to the requirements for system stability and heat retention.
  • The interior of the tent is equipped with three sets of pockets for small items, a drying cord and a mesh storage shelf, also suitable for placing a headlamp as a light source for the entire tent.
